About Us

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Marked Matter is a small creative studio in the making. This blog may be seen as a chronological documentary that charts the journey of selected works through investigations into graphic design, painting, drawing, film, photography, illustration and architecture. All works have been created by Lucas K. Doolan and Chia-Lin Lee.

LUCAS K. DOOLAN majored in Graphic Design at Auckland University of Technology. He graduated with an Art and Design Masters degree in 2008. He is currently in the process of completing 100 nude mixed media drawings / updating his graphic design portfolio and writing a short film script.

CHIA-LIN SARA LEE studied Architecture at the University of Auckland. She graduated with a Masters of Architecture in 2008. She is a graduate architect with Mitchell & Stout Architects and is now developing her next childrens book.
